Useful Drawing Books Reviewed
Drawing books do have that knack of being very useful at times, they help you to draw stuff based on other artists way of working, but they also inspire you to draw your own stuff too, in particular there are a few books I've come across lately that have been useful for my own drawings and fantasy art and learning too.
I've reviewed these books elsewhere, but I'll give a quick run down through them with a short overview.
The first book is Keith Thompsons Draw and Paint The Undead, which delves obviously into the world of the undead with examples of art based on drawings and sketches and even finished art of many things like vampires, zombies and other various undead creatures of the night.
This book was a good read and it provided a useful resource, even though I thought it could have done with a few extra pages, but that minor quibble aside this book is quite fascinating, as it touches on a few creatures I've never even heard of before, so that's what makes it unique I guess.

Now the next one is a good one and one that surprised me as I thought it would be just a basic introduction into the world of drawing dragons, but I gained a good amount of useful information from this book and it helped me draw different dragons, based on some of the examples contained within.
How To Draw And Paint Dragons was a good book, that I often still reference for drawing dragon heads as there is a good section in there on that, but also, there is a wider section on dragon anatomy which proved useful.
The last book I reviewed was one I bought not so long ago, but as I was interested in drawing Manga I thought why not? The Monster book of More Manga: Draw Manga Like The Experts was the name of the book and it had straight forward drawing examples in ti that you could either copy or re-draw yourself to make them unique, I found this book more than enough, but then I also got distracted by another Manga book too which shows you how to draw Manga women which was nice too.
Drawing Manga can be difficult if you aren't used to this art form, as I wasn't, but I am becoming quite confident in a few areas of Manga and I hope to show you some Manga drawings some day.
I hope these art book reviews are useful, because I thoroughly enjoy a good art book that mainly inspires you to draw but also shows you how to draw stuff, particularly in an artists way that is different to your own.
