Raising The Profile Of You - The Fantasy Artist

Fantasy Art Creature Squid

When you are constantly involved in the creation of art, eventually you want to get it out there and seen by as many other people as possible, fantasy art is to be seen and appreciated like any other piece of art in any medium.

Getting your artwork viewed online takes a little work, but it can be done with a little time and effort and there are many ways to do this effectively.

I am going to go through th best ways of reaching other audiences out there in the world of the internet, if you like to write, then naturally the first thing you would want to do is write a blog, detailing first about you and your inspirations, then move on to writing and showing some of your best work for others to see, you want people to know you as an artist and maybe share some insights into the way you work.

Quite obviously there are millions of blogs out there, but with some determination you will find the right balance and a way to share your thoughts and ideas for other to join in too and discuss your medium of fantasy drawing.

All social networks come with a profile page, and that is the true power of places like Myspace, Bebo, Facebook and many others, they allow you to add links to your blogs, sites of interest and highly relevant topics and other targeted content can be surrounded by your profile page, making you an expert or a really passionate person about your area of interest.

Other content driven websites like Hubpages and Squidoo help you too add your artistic reach online, they provide you with new ways to be a credible fantasy artist, for people to see your art and also see a personal insight into you, you could maybe save some unique content for these two sites and link them up to your main blog.

Why not create an ebook, it doesn't have to be spectacular or of professional quality (but that does help!) A pdf ebook or report that you either give away for free or sell for whatever you like, things like this help you as an artist and showing that you have more to offer, and have professional thoughts to share that are going to be of use.

wow -great start... I'm definitely interested in dabbling. I'd need a pretty good beginner's guide, though...

Well, Wayne, maybe, but I'd be reluctant to give my work away if I had as much talent as you are suggesting for your artists, but well done, I wish you well.

You can't beat the hard slog and/or connections generally needed to get ahead.

Cheers for the comments guys!

katyzzz - Blogging is all about giving away content in some form, information and expertise is all about showing you know what you are talking about and I have lots of knowledge in the area of fantasy art that I would like to share, of course I have a bigger picture in mind, everyone does!

Just think of all the different art products and medium possibilities that you could create and then think that it all started with a simple blog as the inspiration and creative root of it all!!
