Recently I also created a new drawing video on drawing lightning, nothing spectacular, but when you apply this to another design like a grim reaper drawing or a monster of some kind you could create a nice simple background effect either using computer software to jazz it up or simply leave it with a light blue color pencil work around the lightning bolt.
