Fantasy Art Resources In Books And Other Content Sources
July 11th 2008 18:54
Perhaps it's through books and other readable content that I first found out how to draw that dragon way back when I was a child, it was a simple childrens book on how to draw monsters and mythical creatures and I was immersed, even at a young age of learning all I could about drawing monsters and other things in the area of Fantasy art.
I particularly found it fascinating to draw what others could draw and paint in a photo-realistic way, the artists like Boris Vallejoand Frank Frazetta are the ones to take note of here, but there are many others that I will be writing blog posts about as time goes on and there truly are some great fantasy artists out there.
The effortless style of these revolutionary masters of fantasy art would be the inspiration for me to build my art up through stages of practice and study.
Fantasy Art Books are one of the best resources to easily soak up all the study based learning that you can and finding that way of working on your own style is also what you need to be doing in your own time of course.
If you feel you have the professional style of art, then you can add your own artistic credentials to this fantasy art directory of artists from all around the world
Here are some of the best resources in drawing fantasy art, some I own or some I've heard about from other artists, some may be featured in online fantasy art galleries.
